April, 2019. Pastoral Updated News for Clinton United Church

To all of our church family,

Spring has arrived, and so has our new minister, the Rev. Cathy Larmond!  Moving in is proceeding, and furniture, books, and three sons and pet dog and three cats are familiarizing themselves with their newly updated manse.  Members of the interview team conducted the March 24 service, so she could experience our worship format, and then she led worship the next Sunday. We are certainly looking forward to her enthusiastic style of Ministry.

We have had a longstanding involvement with Camp Menesetung, and the traditional spring cleanup will take place, once again the last Saturday of this month - April 27 from 9 a.m. until noon.  They always serve a great lunch, food, the conversations, as well as the fellowship make for a very satisfying outing.  High school volunteer hours are acknowledged.  Summer Camp registrations are available at the church office or online on the Camp website.

Our youth worship has been enhanced by the work of Mary Ross.  For the first time, a field trip to St. Timothy's (Tim Hortons) was undertaken.  Mary and six warmly dressed children walked to Timmie’s and talked about our Christian faith while enjoying some refreshments at a very popular Clinton meeting place.  Join us for Sunday School and youth worship.

Church activities continue during the week, with quilters, shuffleboards, prayer shawl knitters, and choristers all meeting at various times during the week.
